Nothing says I love you like a big chicken leg.
Especially a big chicken leg still on the bone so you can both devour it in a completely animalistic way. Because you know if they see you eat something so un-lady like and still take you out to eat, they’re a keeper. It’s love. You’ve found happily ever after.
And this recipe is just so perfect, it not only has strawberries, but if you cross them together they even look like a heart! How romantic is that?
Strawberry Balsamic Roasted Chicken
(Recipe by Sarah Eats Austin)
1 tsp salt
2 tbls olive oil
2 tbls balsamic vinegar
1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
1 sprig fresh rosemary, about 2 inches long
1 tsp dried basil
Preheat oven to 350F.
Place the chicken legs in a small dutch oven. Sprinkle the salt and basil liberally all over the chicken. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over top, lay in the strawberries and rosemary.
Roast in the oven for about 1-1 1/2 hours or until no longer pink inside and internal temp reaches 165F.
