Mixed Caramel Rum Nut Butter

I think it is pretty safe to say that 2014 was the year of the butters. Cookie butter, nut butters, you name. Grind it up and call it butter. I’m ok with this.

But as usual I’m pretty late to the party. Here I am, half a month away from 2015, and finally I produce some sort of butter. Good job me.

Better late than never right?

Coconut Macaroons

I think I may just call this the year of coconut. Almost everything I make has some sort of coconut in it. Coconut cake, coconut granola, coconut tiramisu. Dare I say I’m going, coco-nutty?

You can’t not throw in a lame joke every once in a while.

So if you’ve never tried coconut macaroons let me just start by saying they will change your life. They are sweet but not too sweet and light but not straight up mereingue cookie light. They are a perfectly balanced cookie that is perfect for warmer weather. And look how adorable they are! They’re like little clouds of coconut awesomeness. And if you want to make them even more delectable you could always dip them in chocolate and you’ve got one of life’s greatest pleasures.

Enjoy!

St. Patrick’s Day Roundup

This is new to me. I’ve never ever posted a roundup before in the entire what, two or three years I’ve been blogging? But Sarah, every blog posts roundups! I know. I go against the grain. But alas, here I am. I figured that I could finally post one since I have this thing where I really like cooking with Guinness and Irish Cream. It’s a bit of an addiction really. I was actually planning on making even more recipes over spring break including the two awesome ingredients but I didn’t really take into account the fact that I’d be at SXSW this whole week. A recap will be coming your way soon, it was awesome I’ll just leave it at that for now.

Turkey and Fig Meatballs

I’m finally starting to feel a little more normal after ACL.

I’ve gotten over that first initial exhaustion of being out in the hot sun all day for several days, lack of sleep, and lack of food.

Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Pasta

*Sigh*
I know, i’m being very unpatriotic.
Tomorrow is July 4th. Independance day! And I haven’t posted anything that symbolizes the good ole’ red white and blue.
Shame on me.

A Fresh Start and Fresh Strawberry Lemonade

Finally!

So these past 3 days have been busy busy trying to transfer all of my recipes and posts from my old website to this new one.

One by one, copy, paste, tag, post, cop that link, copy into the recipe page etc. There’s probably an easier way but that’s the only way I know of.

Boozy Chocolate Pecan Pie

It’s amazing how much life can change in 1 year. I keep looking back at what I was doing this same time last year and it seems like that was years ago! I was a completely different person doing completely different things!
For instance, all my friends were in highschool and love was my biggest priority. I was running almost 6 miles a day and hardly ate anything unhealthy except on my one cheat day. I wasn’t the closest with my family and I never spent as much time with them as I should have.
